# Day 25/34 Traditional B2C Architecture

In modern enterprise architecture, a diverse ecosystem of specialized third-party products and appliances plays a crucial role in establishing a reliable, stable, scalable, secure, and high-throughput application platform. This platform supports the development of both stateless and stateful applications, catering to Request-Driven Architecture (RDA) and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) paradigms.

The shift towards EDA, breaking down messages into **real-time** and **asynchronous** events, has significantly enhanced system throughput, scaling from millions of messages to billions of events. However, this sophistication necessitates a more comprehensive approach to monitoring and resolving issues at the data flow level.

This series of posts delves into the intricacies, using an account enquiry request scenario to highlight the limitations of traditional Application Performance Management (APM) tools in meeting distributed tracing requirements. It then demonstrates the adoption of a new OpenTelemetry solution to address this challenge. OpenTelemetry stands as a robust framework for gathering observability data from cloud-native applications, going beyond mere industry jargon to offer practical solutions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://stephen-tsoi.gitbook.io/stephen-tsoi-docs/opentelemetry/from-missing-events-to-complete-visibility-tracing-enterprise-transactions-with-opentelemetry/day-25-34-traditional-b2c-architecture.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
